Give other sources a chance to appear
Block asks the engine to exclude a site while choosing results. It can return alternatives that simply hiding a result would not bring onto the page.
Your block list, applied automatically
No need to type exclusions every time
Add a domain to Block in Result Arrange. Future supported searches use your selected set of rules wherever you have them enabled.
Block works on Google All, Brave Search All, Bing web, and DuckDuckGo All results. In Settings, you can turn rules off for individual engines without deleting your lists.
How blocking works
An exclusion in the search, followed by a check on the results page.
- You save a blocked siteOpen Result Arrange and add its domain to Block in your selected Saved set.
- The engine gets your exclusionsOn a new supported search, Result Arrange adds the engine's exclusion syntax, such as -site:example.com on Google.
- Result Arrange checks the pageIf the engine still returns a blocked site, the extension removes matching results it can reliably identify, including identifiable ads.
A site may still appear inside answers, shopping or native video modules, unsupported tabs, or ads the extension cannot identify. Block does not prevent you from visiting the website directly.
Your rules, with room to change your mind
Up to 25 blocked sites per Saved set
Search engines have query limits, so Block supports up to 25 site exclusions. Exclusions already in a search count toward the available query budget; the extension shows overflow rather than silently dropping it.
Multiple sets, one selected at a time
With Plus, save up to 50 named sets within the storage budget: one for work, another for shopping, or whatever suits your searching. Switch sets to change which rules apply. The lists do not combine into a larger active block list.
Choose where rules apply
Engine switches in Settings control Prefer, Hide, and Block together. Turn one off to stop applying rules on that engine. These switches are available to everyone, including Free and signed-out users.
Unblock a site, then start a fresh search
Remove the site from Block and start a new search from your browser's address bar. An existing results page may still contain the old exclusion in its search box. Show hidden results reveals Hide results; it does not reveal blocked results.
Hide and Prefer are included too
Use Hide for results you may want to reveal on the same page, and Prefer to bring favourite sources forward. Both are Free on supported main results pages. Each website belongs to one of these lists at a time.
A note about Google's AI Overview
In our testing, the minus operator used by Block removes Google's AI Overview from the main results tab. This is Google's behaviour and may change. AI Mode remains available; Result Arrange does not edit its answers. Read the AI Overview details.
